The Professional Performance Diploma (PPD) course is an intensive training course for vocationally trained dancers incorporating an exacting timetable of Dance, Theatre and Performance related modules designed to give aspiring professionals the highest standard of training in preparation for a career in the competitive world of Dance or Theatre.
Core Modules include Ballet, Classical Repertoire, Contemporary, Tap, Mattox and Commercial Jazz, Vocal Coaching, Drama, Audition Technique, Body Conditioning, Stretch and Strength, Nutrition, Pilates, Dance Psychology, as well as a schedule of regular public performances in The Vyne Theatre.
Courses run 30 weeks in the year in 3 terms, and take place in the exceptional performing arts premises of the The Vyne Performing Arts Centre, Berkhamsted. Classes are timetabled from 9.30am-3pm daily Monday-Friday with a choice of 4 classes per day. PPC Students will be required to maintain full attendance at the classes stated in their individual programme in order to gain the The Vyne PPC Diploma. Additional Weekend, Evening and Holiday Courses are also available for students on the PPD who wish to maintain uninterrupted training throughout the year.
The members of Staff on the PPD are all former or active professionals with a wealth of experience in both teaching and performance. Each Student on the PPD will be given a programme tailored to their particular career goals and will receive private mentoring from their course tutor in order to gain the maximum benefit from the challenging course timetable and performance programme.
